UK Classics may have to fit mirrors
10 Aug 2005
The Federation of British Historic vehicle Clubs is assessing proposed UK legislation which may mean that all historic vehicles have to be fitted with external mirrors.
A consultantation document is being considered before a formal response is made from the FBHV to the government in September.
Current law requires owners of pre-1978 vehicles to have one mirror, but this may be internal. The new legislation includes a requirement for two mirrors, one of which must be external and mounted on the offside of the car. |
